11th PRIMARY SCHOOL OF HERAKLION

The construction of the building began in 1889.Our School was founded in 1905. It was constituted by five rooms of teaching, and an office. Initially accomodated a three teachers mixed school and later in 1907 a two teachers girl school.Then, as long as the region was developed and accepted more residents, the number of children, boys and girls grow. Thus was suppressed (Girls’ School)  and it was replaced by the Municipal School where studied boys and girls. At various time intervals new rooms were built. Today it is constituted by twelve rooms of teaching, laboratory of information technology, office of schoolteachers and office of Director, and Gym . In our School studying 160 children.
